Most so-called “wireless” surround-sound systems provide only two “wireless” speakers – the rear speakers – which are wired to a receiver on the back wall. THX Roomcaster removes all of the speaker wires from all of the speakers in a 5.1 surround sound system: the front left, front right, center, surround left, surround right, and even the subwoofer. And for a 7.1 system, the back left and back right speakers are also wireless – THX Roomcaster supports practically an unlimited number of speakers, all of them wireless.

Furthermore, as an embedded technology, THX Roomcaster can be integrated into any source device, enabling an iPod dock, Game Console, DVD/Blu-ray Player, laptop, or even an HDTV to all stream content directly to the THX Roomcaster speaker system without any wires connecting them together.
